In an iRacing single-seater, the rumble strips are clearly discernible\u2014you can feel the bumps through your hands where a belt-driven base would have smoothed them out. Going into a turn, the base pushes against you with enough force that the load on the front axle becomes noticeable: you can feel the moment the front end starts to grip, followed by the tires sliding\u2014a sensation conveyed through the steering wheel rather than through sound or visuals. In GT3, it\u2019s in its element. The 8 Nm of torque is more than enough to support the car at both idle and high speeds, with crisp transitions and a good level of detail mid-corner. In rally mode, the base model performs convincingly provided the settings are fine-tuned, with surface textures and bumps rendered with a sense of depth.<\/p>\n<p>You hit the limit exactly where you\u2019d expect. Push a heavy single-seater or a high-downforce prototype to the limit, with full feedback, and the engine eventually runs out of power: the 8 Nm ceiling becomes noticeable in the most demanding cars. This isn\u2019t a flaw\u2014it\u2019s just the nature of the category\u2014and it\u2019s best to be aware of it so you don\u2019t set your expectations too high. During long sessions, the lack of a fan didn\u2019t cause any temperature issues for us; the aluminum heat sink does its job, and the base remains silent.
