The force feedback is crisp and responsive, with a real sense of detail the moment the front end loses traction\u2014that slight numbness that warns of wheel lockup. On sections that require sharp corrections\u2014whether it\u2019s a bumpy stretch or accelerating over a speed bump\u2014the direct-drive system\u2019s responsiveness is immediately apparent; you can straighten the steering wheel with a confidence that older belt-driven systems simply didn\u2019t provide. Impacts with curbs, loss of traction during acceleration\u2014it all happens quickly and clearly.<\/p>\n<p>You have to stick to the character\u2014the signal is still a bit smoother and slightly more filtered than on newer PC-based systems\u2014but for getting a feel for direct drive, it\u2019s exactly the right balance.
